Our Wines

Palazzo Caraffini Winery vintages may be purchased at local Michelin-rated ristoranti or sampled at the Winery by appointment. The Winery is located in Santa Croce (Parma), less than a kilometer from the charming village of Zibello.

Fidanzata

A Lambrusco Maestri, single fermentation in the bottle, as per tradition. Dry, it is particularly suitable with winter dishes. This wild vine and the wine made from it date back to the Etruscan and pre-Roman era

Giaranzana

French variety of Merlot from a vine from the Bordeaux region. It is the "Reserve" of the House. Obtained from a single vineyard, it is aged for at least one year in "barrique" and produced only in superior quality years. A classic Merlot, ideal with meats and at the end of the meal with cheeses

L’armonia

A table red "all-round meal" can also be paired with some fish dishes. Fresh light wine with a berry aftertaste.

Bianca della Bassa

The only white wine offered by the winery, this “Charmat” wine is a fresh and fruity brut to be consumed at the beginning and end of the meal.

Maritata

A double fermentation Lambrusco, the second of which is in the bottle. A totally natural process, without autoclaving or filtration,
which produces a generous and vigorous wine.

Ballata

A "recipe" from 2000 years ago, obtained from a mixture of Barbera (70%) and Bonarda (30%) grapes. In the Zibello area this strong structured wine was consumed by the nobility since Roman times. Dark red in color with notes of minerals and black pepper, it pairs well with first courses and meats.

La cantante

A "classic method" from Lambrusco grapes, aged on the yeasts for four years and "pas dosè".
This dry rosé wine was selected among the top 100 best Italian wines. It goes well with all dishes

Le cabaret

In particularly good years, the winery produces a limited number of bottles of cabernet-sauvignon.
Aged in "barrique", in taste, color and structure it recalls the characteristics of French wines.
